BGMC 15 | R.O.B - "Robotic Obliterating Buddy"

Our entry to this month’s competition -
We’re essentially making this:

But with everyone’s favorite little gaming companion R.O.B as the playable character:


The team:

Plot:
You control R.O.B. as he rampages through Kyoto, Japan blowing stuff up, killing thousands of innocent people and fighting giant monsters in an attempt to rid the world of inferior games released by nintendo in the 80’s and 90’s. These ‘inferior games’ being everything but “Gyromite” and “Stack Up” for NES.

Things are getting done at a leisurely rate…
Though it is an ambitious project, we should have time to finish.

I like the plot! Will the be a satire on ‘bad games’, or will it feature actual characters from bad games?

Updated the Plot, forgot to mention that the game takes place in Japan.
No other video game characters are to be included… kinda. Don’t want to spoil the end boss >:]

The game will feature Nintendo Headquarters, though!

Easily the best named gamed in the bgmc! Great work!

Two versions of each building - one is a single mesh with static physics, the other is a group object made of rigid-body chunks.
When hit, we swap in the second object and (depending on the weapon) apply force relative to the hit position.

The chunks are pre-generated using the cell fracture addon.
