I think I’ll call this one completed. I intend to use it in a variety of projects later on.
Usually, I like to do pieces that hold some sort of meaning. There isn’t any here. It’s just the pleasure of a big, equally fascinating and disgusting green bottle fly, like you’ve certainly spat a few yourself.
Feel free to read the WIP thread if you’d like more detail, especially about the materials. I am trying to offer a more concise, curated set of pictures here, along with new high resolution renders. I did not do any post processing. I could certainly get a more dramatic look with further tweaking, but I wanted to enjoy the raw detail here.
The fly is fully rigged, but I have not yet made animations for it, not my forte I should say.
I have exaggerated some features on purpose, such as the “trump”, I wanted it to feel thick.
