Big Render.... New question

New Question Below

Hey all,
I have entered into the blender world of hi verticy renders. My current scene consists of about 242,616 verticies.

When i try to render it, about 6 minutes into it, i get the ever so annoying “Blender Publisher has to be shut down, we are sorry for the inconvienience.” and lose the render.

I am running XP home edition. Pentium 4 2.0 gigahertz. NVidia GeForce3 Ti 200.

I have a hunch the computer is programmed so that if something is acctually eating up all the processor space for 10+ minutes, it’s a virus and shuts it off.

Help?

correction:
824,816 verticies +/- 1000 or so
648,000 of them in a pinetree… another 10,000 in the terrain, the rest in the several thousand 24 verticy snowflakes…

hehe
and after all this, the scene still sucks… :frowning:

YOu may want to (unfortunately) try rendering in 2.23. The rendering in that version is more stable.

I read somewhere on Blender. org that the Blender foundation is trying to rectify the Blender 2.25 rendering problem. Good things come to those who wait, in the meantime, render in 2.23.

thanks guys (and girls)

it’s not working again. i am doing it in 2.23.
If someone wants to do it for me, that would be great.
