I love Bill Wurtz because of his silly-good songs (as if Thundercat had been playing Animal Crossing instead of Mortal Kombat) and the memetastic accompanying videos on youtube, and I just go on twitter to laugh at his absurd wisdom. Today I was looking at the Notebook on his website and came across this post from 2016 where he talks about Blender, in his usual nonsensical way. I really liked this bit, which to me boils down the Blender experience to just one poetic line:
it would be like being forced to count your steps manually on the way to the grocery store
To be fair some of the stuff he mentions (like no save prompt) have been addressed since, thankfully.
Then I realised that he stuck with it and his latest music video, from just over a month ago, was made with Blender, which gets a cameo at the start and at the end. I thought that was pretty awesome so wanted to share it here:
Probably a bit of an acquired taste in terms of blender animation (not in terms of music obviously, that’s just universally excellent) but I think he did a pretty good job at matching the style of his previous stuff which was more 2d/video.
