I’m trying to add a black on orange pattern to match my real life cats and instead of black it’s white
The colour ramp is outputting a black and white noise pattern, so it will whiten the colour.
You should use the noise texture (and colour ramp) as a “mask” to plug into the factor of the mix shader that mixes the main texture with the black diffuse.
Or you can mix the black noise with your image before the principled shader like this. That way the black noise pattern will also have the same roughness etc as your fur image.
