Just started work on this character. Remake of Blizzard’s. Not sure if I’ll do a sculpt. It’s final form will be game ready.
C&C would be helpful, please don’t hold back.

You’re remaking Blackthorne? That’s cool, it’s a nice little game.
That looks like a good start on the character, but shouldn’t he be more muscular? I recall Blackthorne to be pretty buffed up.
Keep in mind, I’m not actually making the game (without help anyway, it’d be a fun project for a team), just the character. He was pretty beefed, but I want to make a more anatomically correct one, and see if I can’t still end up with the badassery that he’s so well known for. I plan on some changes along the lines of scars, ornate gear etc. My reference is also only the in game version of the character since a lot of the promo art isn’t actually the same (for ex. a denim vest rather than a beater).
Edit: shooting for a 3k-3.5k tri limit.
Quick update:
Of all the fun things that could happen, my file is corrupted! Yay! Now I have to start the head all over again. My favorite.

Crap! I almost had that happen to me on my dolphin project - I “reloaded last state” then SAVED it over my current progress. Thankfully the default Blender backup file was still OK.
I’m liking the progress on this so far. It’s always good to see stuff from the 16-bit days brought to life in 3D. My only thought is that it’d be cool if you used the sculpt tool for fine details, such as scars and such, then bake it into a normal map.
Now that the BGE has normal map functionality, I would, but this is an old project, and the file corruption pretty much killed it for me. Oh well. I used the body mesh as a base for another project though.
it was a great game
