Blend file corrupted during work. How can I restore? Please help.

I’ve been working on a scale model of an architectural project for three months. I was working on some interior design details tonight for three hours, constantly switching between camera angles, cycles render view to solid view… and I eventually found the solid view mode to have stopped showing my model. Looking at the same model in rendered view mode is still perfect. The model geometry is still here. It just won’t fully show up in solid/texture/material view. Only cycles rendered view.

Here are two images of the trailer model. I haven’t moved the model at all-- only switched between solid and render view.

At first, I thought it might have just been me accidentally activating some sort of clipping in the viewport, but the model isn’t just chopped at that angle. It stays truncated like that even when I turn or manipulate the model.

I have no idea what would cause this sort of corruption, or how to salvage my work. If anybody has any ideas, I’m completely open to trying anything. Please help.

Edit:

Not only am I willing to try anybody’s suggestions, I"m willing to pay anybody who can help me restore my file. This was months of work, building a model from sketches and ideas. The blueprints hadn’t even been updated yet.

It seems like isolate 3d view toggle is on. Try to press alt+b.

Hi, please control both clipping settings, one is in N panel other is in camera settings.
It seams your model is gigantic, do you work in metric scale?
If possible append the model in a new file and upload this file, we can look in to.

Cheers, mib

That looks like you made a selection with ALT+B. Press ALT+B again to undo it.

The dark area in your screenshot is the clipping border https://www.blender.org/manual/editors/3dview/navigate/3d_view.html#view-clipping-border

Wow! That fixed it! Thanks so much, you guys. I was scared that I had ruined my blend file.
