I did an experimental install of WinXP on a spare parition on the secondary master drive.
Downloaded and installed the latest drivers for my geforce 2 card (WinXP 28.3 or something)
Went to run Blender creator 2.23, only to find that it hangs, no splash screen appears or GUI, just the plain grey screen.
However Blender 2.22 works fine in WinXP.
Any suggestions? I’d like to get this figured out before i do the permanent install of win xp on my main hardrive.
cheers
brian
have you tried turning force anti-aliasing off?
Works fine for me too.

In the 3D Antialiasing settings of the additional properties, I set “Manually set the antialiasing settings” to “Off (no antialiasing)”
Still no luck. Blender 2.23 hangs, no splash screen or anything, just the BlenderGray background…

Strange. Unzipped a fresh copy of Blender creator 2.23 onto the winxp desktop. Ran 2.23 from there. Works!
Bizzarre…
