Hi,
I am learning blender from a tutorial based on version 2.49.
I would like to upgrade to version 2.50 in October and would like to know if the user interface can be set to a 2.49 version layout so that I won’t get confused.
Does anybody know anything about this?

Yes you can just recustomise the interface. Some inevitable changes may be different though. For example the new toolshelf in 2.5. Unfortunatly there’s not gonna be much documentation on 2.5 untill it’s released.
As long as you continue to learn to use blender with the current interface it will only help in a smooth changeover to 2.5. It’s the principles of how to use blender that I think is inportant not the position of the relevant button.
