Been playing around with blender 3.0 and so far I’ve have had a lot of hiccups with it.
but one big factor it seems like the search option in the node tab stopped working if anyone knows why this is let me know or is having the same issue let me know
It works here in both Shader and Geometry Nodes. Maybe you have an incompatible add-on or something? As a test, try File->Defaults->Load Factory Settings and see if it’s still a problem.

yes I did.
It was the addon I was using the said addon
was the Lightning Boy Shader 2.1
after I turned it off it was fixed.
