Blender 4.2.4: Corrective shapes for the body

Hello, can someone please point me in the direction of learning how to make corrective shapes for the body mesh?

I’m making a custom rig and would like to learn corrective shapes. There is nothing on YouTube for Blender 4.2.4

Tutorials for earlier versions will be useful.

I have seen that video and play list. But there seems to be some steps left out of the tutorial playlist.

  1. How was the Shape made, first?

a. Was the base mesh duplicated, then sculpted on, then add the driver?

b. Or, was the Armature deformed to create the elbow bend first, then duplicated, then sculpted, then a driver added?

  1. What is the order of operation to creating the shape and incorporating it into the rig?

I guess this is how you generally go about it:

  • pose the armature to the max deformation that you’re trying to correct for;
  • add new shapekey, set to “1”;
  • sculpt/model corrective shape;
  • add driver to the shapekey.

Thank you, I will start learning how this is done in Blender 4.2.4
