We are putting on our first ever Blender animation contest and I thought people here might want to know about it since it’s pretty niche competition with worthwhile prizes. There are nine awards and $5,000 in total prize value, so if you like finding smaller contests early, this one might be worth a shot.
The theme is Speed. Create a short 5-30 second animation with Blender and interpret the topic however you want. And ofc participating is completely free.
Dates
- Submissions open: October 15, 2026 at 00:00 UTC
- Submissions close: October 31, 2026 at 23:59 UTC
Prizes
Nine awards share $5,000 in total prize value: $1,500 in cash and $3,500 in RenderJuice rendering credits ($1 credit covers real $1 spent on rendering)
The awards cover first, second, and third place + six category awards. You might also win $100 RenderJuice credits as an Honorable Mention award. We can also help by promoting your work by featuring it with full credits to you.
How to enter
- Create a free RenderJuice account to which we’ll issue the credits in case you win. You can also use that account to ask to help to render your animation for the contest.
- Join the contest Discord, announcements and submissions will happen there.
- Submit your finished animation or a public video link, a short description, and one Blender work-in-progress image.
Main rules
- Entry is free and open worldwide to anyone aged 18 or older.
- Your animation must be original work created for the contest.
- The finished animation must run for 5 to 30 seconds.
- Blender must be your main creation tool.
- Your entry must connect to the theme of Speed in some way.
