Followed a geo node tutorial to add a ribbon along a curve I duplicated from the edges of the shoe. I want the ribbon to go outwards from the edge of the shoe, but the left side of the shoe is going inwards. I tried twisting individual points but it would only twist the curve and not the instances (they have the same origin and I applied scale/rotation/location). Is it possible to change the rotation of a point without changing all the instance rotations, or would it be better just to convert it to a mesh and rotate it individually?
Alignment along the z-axis requires extra directional info… e.g. Try aligning the X along the Normal and feed that rotation into the Tangent align.
Good luck.
