Blender Basics Part 5

I just released Blender Basics Part 5: Materials Foundations.

It’s huge – big enough to devour animals and small children (1 hour 45 minutes) but it’s a good introduction to the Materials panel, I think.

The full length AVI along with a two-part download and a streaming version are available at the link above.

Right on man! We need more people like you! Checking out the rest of your videos now.

Wow, these are surprisingly good. I consider myself an advanced modeler but I learned quite a few things that I didn’t knew just watching this video.

I’m looking forward for your coverage of animation tools.

I will download it and check it out. Does it include and explanation of Nodes. And especially and clear explanation of the add new button in the material panel. That is one thing that still mystifies me even after 7 years of using blender. Typically I just fumble around with that buttton and the X (delete) button next to it until I get what I want.

Wow that was a great tutorial it really taught me some things that I thought I had already mastered.

Thanks guys! Glad you enjoyed it. Now to write a script for Part 6.

Just the greatest tutorial out there today for materials…thank you…

Very well done… thank you!

Thanks really clears it up. Excellent tutorial. Please make an equal one for texturing.

I would just like to say that the above was a great tutorial, I think its even possible that some knowledge has filtered into my brain.
Looking forward to textures and I will check out the others.
