I haveworked with BLENDER 2.1 on my computer for a year and an half with few problems. I now have installed BLENDER 2.23 and in so doing it conflicts with my microsoft word 2000 program in that I cannot retrieve any files from “my documents” ( the screen remains blank when I click on “open”.) I have uninstalled BLENDER 2.23 and now the Microsoft word programs works ok again. Therefore, I have removed BLENDER from my computer until I can get some answers. I am running Windows ME, cpu 1200, 256 mg ram, nVidia GeForce2 Ultra 64 MB DDR AGP video card. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Well, I never had that particular problem on either Win ME or XP.
My personal opinion is that it is Win ME itself. That was one buggy OS. I have had absolutely no problems with XP, blender or otherwise. ME crashes on me all the time and gave all kinds of error messages in all my programs.
Windows ME is a piece of junk PERIOD
Where did you instaled Blender 2.23? Did you use the installer or the .zip?
