Hello blenders, please help am am having a problem with blender 3.0 . Lights doesn’t work on eevee but works perfectly fine with cycles.
How can I fix it
post a pic of the issue eevee and cycles use different math behind the scenes so the power isn’t the same on both

Here’s blender’s scene all I changed here is the light strength from 1000 to 10
Make sure you have “Scene Lights” turned on.
I will use this topic with my problem.
Blender 3.1.
Suddenly light stop working, I was tweaking material and in one moment lights turned off, I was trying to undo things I have done, but nothing happens. Problem appears in viewport and in render.
When I turn off shadows in lights tab, lighting is working, with shadows off - lighting is off;
Viewport view - viewport shading, shadows on:

Any ideas what to do with it? I remember I had similar issue in one of previous blender versions.
Edit:
funny thing, every time I change blend mode to Alpha blend light stopped working in blender 3.0 and 3.1, I can not revert that operation, someone knows why?
I have never had this happen and I can’t reproduce this no matter what settings I change…so it must be something in your configuration that is causing this…
From your screen shots, I see that you have not applied scale to the lamps, which you have rescaled, so I will hazard a guess that you did not apply the scale to your objects either…Believe it or not, that can and will produce strange behavior that is impossible to predict.
So, could you provide us with the Blend File to analyze and see if it does the same for us?
True, I didn’t apply transformation to lights.
I will append file tomorrow, it’s on another computer.
let us know if it helps…
Happy Blending!
Record of issue:
As you can see, I have applied scale to the lights.
and the file with the problem:
koncepcja1.blend (3.6 MB)
Sorry No help here…everything works as it should changing back and forth from transparent to hashed to opaque, works just fine…lights never shut of…even checked if somehow the texture got connected to the lights…
So it must be some specific problem with your system…for instance make sure you have the latest drivers for your GPU…check your settings in your Preferences>system>render devices…etc.
NOTE:I did notice that you are using a displacement which won’t work in EeVee…and that you didn’t apply scale to any of the objects in your scene…you really need to be aware of this and start applying scale after you change an object in anyway…or problems will show up in the strangest ways…
I wasn’t aware of some things you have mentioned, blender is my latest hobby, so they were rookie mistakes
And thanks for the tips.
I was playing with the file I have problems with on my home computer - no issues now. It was like you said, probably something with configuration.
Thanks a lot. You really saved my project.
Has anyone solved this already? Been having the same problem, Lights only work with no shadows, for me it fixed itself some time ago but then I opened the file and it was again messed up, It’s been a pain in the back, I´ve tried eveything i’ve read here.
