Hi, this is my first project using Blender, an interior design inspired by my recent years living in Berlin.
I finally decided to make the leap after 15 years of using 3ds max! It’s a case study to learn how to use the UI, the shader creation, and general settings.
All comments are appreciated!
Color grading was done with Camera Raw, but I guess this is also possible inside Blender?
Cheers!
Hi, Thanks!
The lighting is a very simple set up:
I’m using this HDRI from Poly Haven:
and a Sun, that’s all.
I didn’t use the exposure controller, so I just look for the values for the sky and sun that I like and then of course I use the AgX highlight compress which comes as default anyway.
Oh, also for the lamps I used a point light, but these are not lighting the scene, they are only there to make the paper lamps shine.
Hi great work!!! These renders are amazing !! Can you pls tell me the camera details for this fish eye lens?? Im sturggling with camera placement, focal lenses and composition atm…any pointers you have would be greatt xx
Of course, these are the settings that I modified:
Camera type: Panoramic
Panorama Type: Fisheye Equisolid
Lens: 23mm
Camera placement and composition are super fun subjects, as it’s all about experimentation. I draw inspiration from similar content that I’m creating, in this case, interior design shots that I like!
If you are going for something more cinematic, then I would watch movies and save the frames that you like.
The fisheye is a bit experimental; I came up with it because I enjoy street photography and always carry a small fisheye lens with me.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!
