Blender keeps Shutting off my Supercomputer!

Hello!

I’ve been having a strange problem with Blender as my projects have become more advanced.

The issue isn’t that Blender crashes. Instead, Blender runs smoothly, and then my entire PC suddenly shuts off while I’m posing my character for animation.

I’m trying to determine whether this is a problem with my computer or whether there’s something unusual in the .blend file itself.

Would anyone be willing to download the file and spend a few minutes posing the character or making a simple animation to see whether they experience any crashes or instability?

I am using Blender Version 4.1.

Here are the specs on my machine:

• i9-13900K
• RTX 4080
• 128 GB RAM

I find it really strange that something so powerful would crash all the time just from one character.

Here is the link to the file:

My initial money is on that being the problem and once it’s degraded, the CPU is pretty much toast: https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2024/07/intel-has-finally-tracked-down-the-problem-making-13th-and-14th-gen-cpus-crash/

Also:

…so… it’s after you used blender… and stress tested it with the rendereing. So it sounds like some general hardware problem ??

Thanks for the answers guys, this is telling me its a problem with my PC, I’ll do some more investigating!
