Blender- made video in film festival

I thought it would be safer to post this here in off-topic. I entered my Blender made “Don’t Drink and Drive” music video in Sudbury Ontario’s Cinefest International Film Festival Amateur Video makers category competition. The judges are from Alliance Atlantis and Lion’s Gate Film. I thought it would be a good way to promote Blender, get constructive crits from film industry professionals, and make some contacts.

is there a possibility to view it, without leaving the seat?

Cool , the best of luck to you.

Sure, I’m glad you asked. Enjoy. Thanks for the request. My buddy sang the song, and I did the animation. mind you it was my first one.

Thanks, Dreamsgate for the wishes and Dream master for the web space:D . First prize $ 5,000 Canadian that’s about 5 cents US. (sorry, only open to residents of Northern Ontario) :frowning:

Ohhh… Sounds like the opportunity of a lifetime!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

In any case the best of luck for you cree…

Spyros.

Thank you my friend. Just the amateur video competition is limited locally, the film part is open to anyone with enough resources to make a film.

There’s also this contest that’s open to anyone with Max, Maya, or Lightwave. I know, it’s a blender site, but first prize is a 64 bit AMD workstation and 6,400$ US for a 30 to 45 second character animation.

thats crap. why cant you use blender instead of max or maya?

I don’t know why ask AMD. I don’t make the rules.

The link is dead. Can I see the movie?

Just a reminder, it’s an amateur video competition, and this was my first complete animation. The judges, however, are professional judges from film distribution companies. The video is back up as of September 08. The first three prizes are to be announced Sept 21.
