This tutorial is directed at illustrators and concept artists who would like to use Blender Octane plugin to create landscapes and environment design.
Part of it is Jama Jurabaev’s workflow adapted to octane nodes.
I cover a large range of usefull techniques that I use in my work. All of the materials were created on a simple unsubdivided plane.

Included in this tutorial: 3h of Blender Octane Plugin narrated videos (16 Chapters), Various Jpeg Renders, Node system screenshot for every chapter.

Topics Covered: Basic settings, Octane Custom node wrangler, Importing megascans assets and surfaces from Quixel bridge, Scaling shaders within the viewport, Mixing two materials, 3D Assets material integration with various ground materials, Creating a Water mask, Texture displacement , Random texture with object scattering, Octane camera imager settings, Setting multiple cameras, length and aperture, Background image integration in final render, Four types of Fogs, Images as planes for simple FX, Light options : image projection, IES profiles & God rays, Rendering passes.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you know I just updated my Blender Octane Plugin Tutorial with a really usefull new chapter focusing on the scatter on surface node. You’ll be able to scatter grass, people, buildings or anything you like with this powerfull octane node!

If you want to start scattering grass or trees Iwill soon create a folder with some free awesome vegetation assets.

Of course, this update comes for free for those who already have purchased the tutorial.

This is the second update I made from the first release. The previous update was focusing on importing Orbx Materials, accessing the Octane live Database, and saving shaders to your personal Local database.

For those who want to learn Blender Octane Plugin and have not purchased the tutorial I just created a black friday sale: 40% off everything until the end of the month. just enter the code: BLENDEROCTANE_BLACKFRIDAY_2023 at the checkout.

Don’t hesitate to give me feedback.

Cheers,

Pierre
