Blender only selects the front vertices and not the back ones

In Edit Mode. Problem: Blender only selects the front vertices and not the back ones. I am not in X-Ray mode.

Are you saying you should be able to select front and back without being in x-ray mode, or are you saying you don’t know how to get into x-ray mode?

If the former, Blender is working as intended. It is far simpler to have it this way by default and add an extra step (x-ray mode) to select both front and back vertices than doing it the other way if you only want to select the front ones. If the latter, Blender_Fun1’s answer hopefully helps.

Thanks. Yes I always have it that way (X-Ray) by default but I guess I accidentally turned it off somehow.
