Blender Paper Model Export Does Not Work

Dear Blender enthusiasts,

I please ask you for help, because, I have tried to export a paper model and I also used the triangulate modifier with the fixed mode, but the paper model does not export. The only thing that happens, ist, that the blue Windows symbol does always rotate and nothing happens after a long time. I have activated in the preferences the paper model export. Also the SVG and PDF export does not work. They never worked.

What can I do please? Thank you very much. Have a great day! Stay safe.

Sincerely,

Lesnivila

currently I can only test on version 3.1, but actually in pdf or svg I don’t see anything and the file sizes are small, you should get closer to the Blender development team forum.

Could you be a bit more specific: OS, Blender version… fro example: PaperSuzanne.pdf (51.1 KB)
GreaseSuzanne

Yeah PDF seems a bit weird… (first too small and camera viewthen too big everthing yellow beige)

(Also nobody knows about your problems with PDF or SVG if just reading your title .)

out of curiosity, is there a trick? invariably my .pdf exports are 629 k and nothing is displayed.

For what paper or grease pencil ?? I used the paper model export before but never used PDF, SVG export for Grease pencil before (because i didn’t used it…) but as i said the PDF first used the camera view and suzy was very small then the whole page was just ornageish… but SVG worked… :person_shrugging:

GreasePencil as pdf and svg, camera view… nothing

Used 3.1.2 on linux… als tried 3.0.1 and 3.2 …seems to be export the view in a weird way best result camera view selected… then it exports like the camera… rotate the view a little …ndklhbvukfbhivjncxl… yes its hard to desribe… it’s all the same Freestyle SVG Exporter 1.0…
GreaseMonkey07_301.pdf (79.1 KB)

I was thinking more about activating the addon :flushed:

Could you share the file so that we can see what it is you are trying to export?
It does work, you will need to do several things…
1: It MUST have a UV, and better if you Mark Seams to get a Better unfold or you will end up with UN-Usable small parts…
2. SVG does work the Best and you can and NEED to set the scale of the Drawing, whether for SVG or PDF…
HUGE MESHES will not work…but you can export PARTS of the mesh all at the same scale till you have exported the whole object…

Besides these, I would need to see what you are working with…
