(just kidding… #1 link in google but I searched a bit as I’m curious)

Pmd Miku miku beat I have looked on there website but i cant find the script

hi, here’s a copy, please let me know if it works, if not, provide a .pmd file I can use to test/fix if possible.
http://blenderpython.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/blenderpython/259/scripts/addons_extern/io_scene_pmd/?view=tar

Thank you It works!

Actualy its leting me install it but it will not let me check the box to activate it

The readme file that comes with that script says its for blender 2.57 (looks like updated for 2.58) so may not work with the latest version of blender

change line 9 in import_pmd.py to this:
from bpy_extras.image_utils import load_image
testing more, but i still need a test file…

Edit: fix is in the download above

Its now letting me check the box but it has a error when i try to load the pmd. files

And the error message says what ?

not sure what that means

hi, I can not fix that error, maybe someone can help.
that said, I do have the (original) script working in an earier win 64 build (2.56) & it opens in 2.59 ok.
Imports with textures & armatures.

Thankyou for all the help!

Hello, I tried installing the add-on from the link in the 4th post but I can’t seem to get anywhere: once I install it I don’t get any sort of message (neither of success nor an error message) and the add-on doesn’t appear among the import/export add-ons to activate. The version of Blender I have is 2.57.1 installed on Win 7.

Thanks in advance for any input on this.

Edit: moving the files one folder up to where they were updated made the add-on appear in the list, but I can’t check it, now.

here:s the script for 2.56, maybe 2.57…
http://blenderpython.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/blenderpython/259/scripts/broken/io_scene_pmd.7z?revision=46

Nothing - I tried in several ways, using different versions and combinations, but it didn’t work.
I noticed that in one of the readme they recommended using another program called Meshio (I think for an older version of the plugin), but even then I couldn’t select the plugin from the list.

In the end I gave up and installed Metasequoia for that: I just want to use the models I have for reference for my own model that I’m making (since I’m especially wondering how to do some kinds of clothing and how to better model the eyes in that particular style) so I only need to have something to take a peek at the topology… while I read more tutorials to understand how to see the whole textured model to appear. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks for trying to help!

maybe you could post a sample .pmd file here or at paste all if it’s a txt in order we can have a look to the datas file.

ah also you could use 3D ripper DX…

littleneo,
I’m sure you could get the script working, I have many .pmd files to share.

:eyebrowlift:here is something:

the last script is here (looks actively maintained) :

pymeshio-1.8.6.zip
the script author is japanese (I suppose  ) : ousttrue and the script looks amazing (rigs, shape, vgroups… import absolutely ALL !)
but there’s a bug during import and setup does not work at least for me (encoding issues, I’m french, he’s japanese so…).
but armature and mesh are there, it would need to rewaork tex link and shaders.
just copy blender25-meshio in addons, then enjoy import and export menus.

after some work :
