I now have five tutorials made for Blender Python. These tutorials are much more informal, but you will likely never look at the console the same way again after watching these tutorials . . . I learn more by experimenting with things in the console and looking up different code from the console . . . it is faster and usually easier than trying to use the API. I also use the text editor, but the vast majority of what you learn, you can learn quickly from the console and information.
