Blender Sculpt

nice sculpt for blender. high res wireframe?

it’s a nice sculpt, but there seems something wrong with it. The proportions for the head are quite wrong. The forehead in particular really breaks it. The ears are too low or the eyes too high. If you take a line from the corners of the eye to the ear, there should not be a bump there, while in your sculpt, you have a very distinct bump. If I were you, I would remove that. Also, I would put more definition in the eyebrow area, and remove the bump behind the ear. Again, a big bump there that should not be there. This one really has potential, but by no means is it finished yet…

Yes I agree, I’m not sure where that mound came in. I will work on those areas and have an update soon. No I don’t consider it finished either. Thats why it’s in the “Work in Progress” section.

Update
I’m guessing the ear needs to move forward?
Not sure what’s going on with the forehead? any ideas?
Critiques are welcome if you’d like to do a draw over that would help a lot.

amazing work, did you do it with a mouse or a tablet ?

Unfortunately a mouse. My tablet died a while back, and my daughter tends to eat up all of my money.

Really nice char, please just finish his neck.

finish his neck?

Wow, that looks awesome.
Great detail!

About his ears, yeah they should move a bit forward.
The back of your lower jaw is around the center of the ear.

Further then that looks realy nice.

Just a question for own purpose, did you learn sculpting yourself, or by some kind of tutorials?

I’ve learned mostly by observation. I did a couple of tutorials, but I mostly just search through forums and look for people who are really good and try to study their edge flow.

Yes, I mean the lower part of the guy : throat, shoulders … etc.

I find it strange to begin the sculpting/texturing while the modeling isn’t finished yet … but anyway there’s not one way to work.

I understand, I had only intended on doing the head. I wouldn’t have started detailing if I was planning on doing the rest.
