Blender Smoke Simulator makes weird squares

look close to the emitter
what can i do to fix this?
btw

Not positive, but you might try subdividing the emitter mesh - maybe even subsurfing it. If you subsurf it, I think you may have to apply it also. And turn on “Smoke High Resolution” under the domain physics and play with some of its settings. Anyway, I think most answers are probably in this link: http://simulate4d.com/2011/10/blender-2-60-guide-to-smoke-fire-simulation/

Let us know if you solve it.

Ok, i tried to subsurf the emitter mesh, even up to level 5 at one point
didn’t really make a difference

i guess it’s just because i’m using the new adaptive domain feature, which might not be fully functional yet

nah, theres a setting under the materials called integration. you need to reduce the step size and it should fix that blockiness.
