Blender startup crash

I wasn’t sure where to post this (hi also, first post).

So Blender stopped working 1 or 2 weeks after I installed it on a new hard drive (I did have it working on it), I get the normal windows crash message (with the send error report options). I can’t figure out why this happens, the error report doesn’t seem to indicate what it is, and I’m pretty sure it’s not quicktime because I’ve tried unistalling that and then running blender.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Other notes:
-running windows xp
-got blender version 2.45
-computer specs (if it helps): GPU: ati radeon x1950xt 256mb, CPU: pentium D 3.2ghz, RAM: 2gb (667mhz), abit Il8 motherboard, 1024x768 resolution

Find the file B.blend (it’s the default startup file) and delete it. Blender will create a new one on startup. The fact that it was working pretty much eliminates anything in the system as the problem, unless you’ve changed something or added display drivers or somesuch.

Where exactly could I find this file?

In the blender installation directory somewhere…use the search in XP

EDIT: turns out it was my ati drivers, thanks a lot for the help though
