Blender won't start from command line Mac AND Windows

I tried the suggestion posted in :Run Blender.app from the command line on OSX?

/Applications/Blender.app/Contents/MacOS/blender

I get:
-bash: /Applications/Blender.app/Contents/MacOS/blender: No such file or directory.

I move to my Windows machine and:

PS C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\
.\blender

and get :
The term ‘blender’ is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program…

I’m 0/2 here- any help would be more than welcome.

On my Mac, the path was slightly different than the one you posted. Try this:

/Applications/Blender/blender.app/Contents/MacOS/blender

Thanks chaan! That did the trick. Anyone have any thoughts about the windows problem? I’d prefer to work on that machine instead…
