Blender XMuscle add-on - How to attach mesh/skin

Hi

With the add-on XMuscle, it includes downloadable objects with combined skeletons, muscles, and skin, with the skin directly interacting with the muscles beneath.

I have a custom skeleton and muscle structure. How do I attach a custom “skin” mesh so that it interacts with the underlying muscles and bones? Or, is there a shortcut that enables me to generate a skin directly on top of the muscles and bones?
