Blender's next release getting new ui?

as greatest SaintHaven say: Time is the key. (and in learning to :))
Really for you (and me) - old users turn to new interface is no difficult, but for new users  it is dramaticallyā€¦ because if it study individually they have chaos in his mind because versions, and in interfaces, and buttons, and reference on blender.org - is chaos  It is dumbassā€¦ no order till now. Fast order in her heads for many only $) from Andrew and another ā€¦
If you need money , itā€™s better just to say it to the users, and do not receive income through third parties to the detriment of the development of the community through crafty schemes rewriting documentation again and making money on this.

Working on icon support

Keep in mind, thereā€™s no promises, but itā€™s something Iā€™m actively looking in to and believe in.

Ahh, thereā€™s always that ā€œbut.ā€

ā€œEveryone I know has a big butā€¦letā€™s talk about your big but.ā€ For 1,000 points, whatā€™s that from without Googling?

Yes i know. Never trust promises. Development can have so much surprises. But at least you work at it

baby toys  next step - interface as in True Space?

True space was not a Baby Toy
may she rest in peace.

Perhaps the icons used here can be strongly tinted to match the color scheme set by the userā€™s toolbar theme?

I mean, these arenā€™t going to be context icons, so it might be wise to have a different style as to how they look and how they are presented (ie. not the bold button presentation of the context menu).

@Kris: too easy, Pee Wee, one of the greatest treasures of the 20th century

I downloaded the 32 bit Windows version from there. I got 2.69.7 and no apparent tabs. I looked on the web for examples and saw images of tabs in the interface but didnā€™t find them in the code I downloaded. Is there another place to download the code?

Win32 build hasnĀ“t been updated since dec 18th. Assume tabs werenĀ“t in by then.

Iā€™ll have to hold my breath in anticipation then. Thanks.

baby toys

Definitely not. trueSpace is still a very powerful modeler. And has some modeling features that i miss badly in Blender. Stuff like partial SDS, scale selection to world units and similar stuff. trueSpace was really underestimated. It was quite ahead in some areas, and was at a very good way. Besides the bridge disaster. Bad karma that M$ has killed it in the moment where it became useful again. But gone is gone, so rest in peace.

interface as in True Space?

There could be worse. As told, i still use trueSpace for polygon modeling. I have no scrolling, minimum tabbing, and have all my needed tools and informations at top level in my current layout. No searching, no unnecessary clicks. That makes a comfortable, super fast and easy workflow.

But this will not happen. The Blender UI has to evolve from what it has now. And thats a trueSpace kind UI out. The evolution would be too heavy. Thats by the way the same reason why you cannot simply grab another UI from let`s say Maya, and put it in front of Blender. Or the almighty ribbon interface from Andrew. This will never work. The current Blender users would revolt for good reason. And they have. Poor Andrew, heh. The future Ui has to evolve from what exists now.
