Blocking out an abandoned mall scene

Currently blocking out a scene. Just wanted to see if there is anything I can restructure to finish the blockout and move to modeling. The scene is an “abandoned mall” overtaken by nature. Any tips would be appreciated!

A few tips.

You can use curves in edit mode using the draw tool set to surface to draw quick cables and vines, set to surface and add a little depth in the curves settings for thickness so they have geometry.

You can also use the add cube tool in the side bar in object mode to quickly make cubes for blocking out shapes and scenes.

You can set the object color to object in viewport shading for solid mode, and go to object in your side bar on the right and in viewport set the object color in your workspace without effecting your final shaders in your renders.
Here’s quick look as it sounds more complex then it is.

Hopefully that was helpful if you have any question just say.

Also very nice blockout.:+1:

Good luck on your project!

Looks like a good start.

Yeah, there are an increasing number of “abandoned malls” out there – and I do mean empty! I once had a friend who was a real estate investor, and “back then” he swore as to the wisdom of investing in shopping malls. So far as I know, he doesn’t own or have an interest in a single one today. How times change . . .

Hahaaha hindsight is always 20/20!

Looks like a promising start! I’m a sucker for abandoned/reclaimed by nature scenes. I wonder what you’ll add next.
