Blocky artifact on VDB inside a principled volume

Hello folks, i have a tiny problem that’s bothering me a bit.
I’m trying to make my dragon do some steam while breathing but it get me a blocky result

The more sample i add the more visible this get, i’m scared it will be even more visible in the animation.

This blocky artifact disappear as soon as i remove my volumetric block that cover all the scene

Here is what the smoke simulation looks like without the principled volume.:

I tried:
More volume sample
More transparent sample
some other stuff i dont remember…

Any Ideas is welcomed

I think there’s a resolution setting for your volume that should be changed.

There are several reports of blocky artefacts with VDBs:

I felt that pain several times too and hope that one day they’ll be gone

Thank you for your answer !
From close the vdb seems pretty detailled

hi,

have you tested with higher transparency values?

Hello !
Yes, same result

too bad,

I also had this once I got the boxes when several VDB overlapped, it has become better with increasing the transparency.

I found a solution if you still need it

Someone else might need that solution, if you care to share.

Does not work. Increasing transparent samples does.
