Bloody Sprinklers

Hey all, I know that I haven’t been active on here in a while, but I’m back to working on another film and need to be able to create bloody sprinkler mist. The shot is a drone shot of a house in the morning as the sprinklers go off, but instead of water they’re blood. What would be the best way to go about this? My initial thought was some sort of particle system with weight painting for staining the grass, but maybe there’s a better way?

Well… almost every rain tutorial (i especialy selected this old one…) :

uses particles and generating wet maps to make it wet… :droplet:

So now make it bloody… :drop_of_blood: :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Thanks, yes, that can work for the staining of the grass, but my bigger issue is getting a bloody mist that looks like a sprinkler.

It’s an old video, but I think this method will be okay.

Maybe look at the new diffusion node in 4.2

I think it maybe quite good for mist, thinking about the rainbow patterns one might get from the ‘red mist’!
