blue screen

hey guys, I’ve seen a ton of blender animation with either a blue screen in the background or even a logo. How do I do that? also when i render my animation, there is no color. Is that how it’s supposed to be?

“hey guys, I’ve seen a ton of blender animation with either a blue screen in the background or even a logo. How do I do that?”

The blue screen is there by default. And I think it’s ugly. You can change the color if you go to Material Buttons (F5) and then click on World Buttons (a little gray and blue sphere icon) and that is where it can be adjusted.

“also when i render my animation, there is no color. Is that how it’s supposed to be?”

That is because you need to apply colors to your objects and you do that by going to the material buttons and creating them.

Check out this tutorial on applying Materials: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:Manual/Materials/Assigning_a_material

It might be a good idea to spend some time reading up on the basics of Blender. There is a lot of good documentation out there for you to take advantage of. Here is a good place to start: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:Manual

ahh thankyou. I was just hoping to be able to render my assigned textures.
