Bmw m3

Modeled in Blender 2.62 and rendered in Cycles

I know glass hasn’t come out well. I tried tinted black but it was looking very flat so had to switch back to glossy

Why everyone is using cycles when they can’t use it? Good modeling bad renders.

Apologize for my mistake but somehow Yafaray was crashing whenever I tried rendering in it.

I tried a lot to workout something realistic in cycles but best I could do was this. There aren’t much of tutorials on the net yet on Studio Render of Cars and Car paints etc.

Below is the link of my BMW M3 model to download.

If you can render and paste the output, I would be really glad to learn. Thanks

Just possibly so they can get better?

It’s called Learning.

Nice looking car, only thing I see is it looks the like the tire don’t have hardly any tread at all. Alota burnouts I take it eh…

Uncalled for FlykeR:( Keep up the work tahseen, we all get better with time:)

Happy Blending!

OK not perhaps the best render in the world but Tahseen has given us some fantastic work in the past and everyone needs to learn new stuff now and then.
Thanks, Tasheen for this and previous posts. Quality stuff.

With a day of further research and development, here is the new render

I hope this is far better

It’s still pretty overlit, reduce the intensity of the lamps a bit. Also I don’t know if it’s supposed to look like that but the model seems a bit lumpy. Looking at the top contour the bonnet and roof is quite uneven. Other than that it’s a cool model.

Windows are better by far, the rims are really bright and you can’t really see any of the details of them.

here rendered in its model Keyshot

I think you made this car without looking at enough photographic references. the bonnet is not an m3 bonnet, nor are the side mirrors. there is a side intake on the fender that has been on the m3 for some time now which is omitted on your model. that hood on the bonnet is completely closed and the ports are more on the middle side not on the ends of that hood.

I know brake clippers take some doing to get right but brake disc are a five minute job man. So I don’t know why the vent holes are so big and the discs are oversized

I think this car could have used more time in WIP. I love my beemers so that is why I am spotting the mistakes on yours quicker.

It’s a nice model, but TM has pretty well nailed the critique. Look at the geom, which I did, and there is some smoothing needed too.
