coming up nicely
i did a few canons like , 25 mm , 90 mm and a few other
but not the Oerllikon as such - 20 or 40 mm
looking nice
are you going to do the different model for land or sea usage ?
will follow
happy bl
It’s a 40mm
I’m just doing the land version
it’s a version that’s in a museum in my town and I have all the photos for reference
Lots of research and details on this one. Its looking really good !
would like to see some character nearby to give an idea on relative size
keep up the good work
happy bl
while a character would be nice, in the meantime scale is fairly easy to imagine. you’ll see the seat on this side of the gun (there’d be one on the other side as well, hidden). on the top of the armor plate ‘window’, there’s a targeting sight, which would line up approximately with the users view.
while this appears to be on a different wagon/trolley/whateveryoucallit, here’s a pic:
Aussies are great. Shorts, sandals, and a helmet are all you need for warfighting.
Wonderful texture work. Did you do that (the materials) in Blender?
Looks so real. nice work.
Eh?!..looks like a final to me.
Very cool.
Looks amazing!
How did you texture it, is it projected photos? It looks so real!
If I may come with a nit-pick - I can’t quite tell if the textures are a bit blurry or if there’s just DOF making it blurry (or it might just be my old eyes crapping out on me.)
Yes, it’s a texture projected from photogrammetry. I had made a photogrammetry of this gun, but the result was disappointing. That’s why I decided to redo everything in modeling. Yes, you still have good eyes. The texture is blurred in places. I’ve got a lot of work to do on the texture when I have time.
Very nice work, love it.
