Booleans by hand... Is there an easier way?

Because of Blender’s bad booleans I am being forced to fill in hundreds of faces by hand on my stargate for the effect I want. I have been filling in one face at a time but I was wondering if there might be a faster way while still keeping the mesh as clean as possible. The first pic gives an idea of the geometry density in a finished area and the second shows half of all the geometry I have to fill. I am a little over 1/8 done.

You could try shift F with beauty on for spaces simply needing to be filled with faces or if you’re connecting two ends of a hole there’s the bridge script that came with Blender.

The pattern is repeating isn’t it? Just do one section and spin duplicate.
