I have two x files and want to use part of one in the other. I followed a post about appending or linking two objects together. So what I did was save both x files as blender files then it seemed I could bring both files together in Blender, however for some reason I don’t appear to be able to save this file as one object. I guess I am just missing the instruction I should give to save it as one object.

question if I do have two files together can I choose only the parts from each file that I want and save them as a new file?
Problem solved ctrl j will join the objects
