BTS CGI work for Reebok

Hey guys,

I recently wrapped up a super col projetct working with my studio for a famous sport shoe company.
We unveiled the inside tech of the shoe with cgi animations fully done in blender 3.4.1 and rendered with cycles.

I thought that you would be interested by seeing how we achieves some parts of the project so we created 4 short videos that focus on different parts.

What you guys think?

Main challenge here was to reproduce the Knit fabric that covers the shoe.

There we had to explode the shoe then shoe the cushion

We discovered Lineart and chose it over Freestyle for this one

Finally we got help from Cartesian Caramel to create the Knitting animation.

BTW, you might consider putting an image before the video, or I think you might add a thumbnail that only show in the gallery. Since Right know it show the youtube preview of the first video that is a floating piece of knit with normal map colors…

A better image will probably draw more people to show that cool project !

The fabric was quite a chalenge. Rear part of the shoe has another type of knitting which I achieved by doing photogrametry sort of!
