Bug confirmation? (Masking causes crash)

Can anyone confirm this bug please;

Apply a multi-res modifier in the latest 2.53 Beta build (any build that has the sculpting improvements), save file and then open the latest GSOC build from Bishops project, load in previously saved file, go into sculpt mode and click the plus icon to create a mask layer, crash?

Whatever I do this causes a crash for me, if I append a mesh with out the modifier it works, however if I apply a modifier (multi-res) go out of sculpt mode, subdivide, go back into sculpt mode and press the plus icon I get an instant crash.

If anyone else can confirm I’ll repost a bug report, if not I’ll put it down to my old files being corrupt.
