Bugatti Veyron

I have emailed you the Blend file. Forgot to attached the HDRI along with it. But that’s not related to modelling.

I will send the HDRI too

I agree with you. Problem with Blender Internal is the settings compliexity. But I would really love to learn it. Can you create some tutorials on it? Studio Lighting and Metal reflection etc.

I guess HDRI reflection of Blender is very different from the HDRI reflection of Yafaray.

Made few changes and here is as per me the Final Version of Bugatti Veyron from my side

Looking better

However, I think you may want to consider touching up the hood. The front “nose” (center vent area) part of the grill appears to be bulging out a bit and stretching the material around it. Also, if you notice the reflections on your hood appears a bit bumpy. Not sure if this is from an HDRI, or from a mesh problem. Take that for what its worth to you.

Perhaps the the side vents on the front are also a bit too tall in comparison to reference picture attached. The bottom of your front bumper appears unfinished, which is really taking away from your model in it’s whole. It should quite a quick fix from top view. It appears rough and bumpy, where as again the reference picture shows a bit different.

Lastly, the side of the car, between the two wheel wells on the bottom. The refrence picture shows a lip at the very bottom and it indents in. I know this is one of the smaller details, but its a detail of the body. Which therefore should be modeled, in my opinion. Right now the side of your render appears a bit plain, and that little bit of detail might push your model into the next level!

A little off topic: I believe that blender internal IS quite capable of producing realistic results with finer tweaking. Below I’ve also attached an image I rendered with blender internal. Pretty basic scene, but as far as blender internal, I think it goes to show with some tweaks it is possible. This render is still a WIP aswell, so hopefully will only become more realistic…hopefully  I feel the attention between materials and lighting should be equal.

Good model, Looking forward to the finish project. Happy Blending
