Is there a way to make the buttons and text on the buttons for the panels bigger? They’re really really too small… I’m not sure whether that is the default size or something wrong with my version. I tried making the font size bigger but the text just runs off the button out of sight as the button is also too small. It’s a pain since I’m not really used to Blender yet and everything is so small… So is there a way to make them bigger?
Make the window for the buttons bigger by mousing over the top line, holding left click and dragging. Then with your curso in the buttons window, hit Home key. You can also hold Cntrl and middle click and then drag to zoom.
You can also change the theme colors to be have contrast, should make small text easier to read - but it will wear you out quicker, no 8 hour marathon Blender sessions w/o bleeding eyeballs. 
As for the Buttons Window module and large text not fitting on them, you can zoom as Enzo says… Here’s an example of Bitstream Vera at 15pt, which would murder the default size buttons, but if you scale them up… (which is easiest with Ctrl-MouseWheel)
okay… thanx for all your help… Now everything is so much easier on the eyes…
