My entry to the second stage of the blender world cup. Topic was cartoon ground vehicle and character. This is stricty spoken not really a finished project, but I won’t change anything till the votings have ended. You can vote here:
Unfortunately I ran out of time and computer power. So this isn’t as good as I wanted it to be, but nevertheless better than anything I have done till now with blender.
I hope we will have some more of this greater challanges with much more entries than this time. It really is a lot of fun!

add some meshsmooth because everything is quite low poly. Besides I think it’s too shiny, try reducing specularity. I like the character - simple but nice.
Well. It is lowpoly, but I can’t do anything about it, as I am working on a 350MHz-Machine here. This image already is more than it wants to do… Besides I only used Subsurf1 on most of the surfaces to get the rendering time into managable timeframes. With a higher subsurf everything on this model looks better. But unfortunatly I ran out of time.
Thanks for the hint with the shinyness. You are right. I could improve there.
Hey, looking good, especially considering your hardware based restraints. I like the modelling. The materials could use some work - less spec, etc, but I’m quite fond of it.
Caderack9: I wanted to fully rig him. Everything is prepared for this. And I will do this after the voting, as this is the first full character I created ever. But unfortunately for this competition time is up. Damn… :-? I even wanted to texture the whole thing. But I think, I will do this afterwards.
