I added this image after being convinced to model the full body. This way you don’t have to turn to page 2 unless you want to read about the process and see other images
I modeled the basic shape and then jumped into sculpt mode to work on the more organic features (the eyes sunk in, the sharp creases on the nose, brow, etc). It wasn’t a lot of sculpting, but enough for me to get my feet wet.
The chrome effect is fantastic and the reflective properties are impecible. I love the desert reflections. Can’t wait to see the finished result with a great “Tatooine” background…
5 stars from me. Excellent work my friend! I used to use skulpting much more than I do today. Good work, and I hope you model the rest of him. Whats the approx time spent on modeling and rendering him out?
I’ve been convinced to complete the C3PO model with the body so I should probably move this into the WIP section (if I can figure out how to do that). Here is what I’ve added in the past hour.

The head is clean man how long did it take you to do just the head? Im sure when you are finished with the model it will look good. one tip i can say is since i can tell you are good at the modeling, on the texturing nothing is wrong with brand new looking models which even i do a lot of new looking models because im still learning but I know to improve the model is to make it look old(not always old but more like it has been walking around or laying around or in the real world and active or being affected by the elements) and used and not new because it adds a lot of life and more realism to the models. Like i said though nothing wrong with shiny and brand new. After you model him, maybe find like a scene of him from the movie where hes dirty or hurt/parts broken or missing and add that element to him. :)keep it up cya
forgive me but I am working on my first ever 3D image. I have parts that are going to be a chrome like material. Are there any guidelines or settings you have found to give a silver type chrome effect?
