Cabin in the Mountains

Put this together today as a scene for an A-Frame cabin I’m building. Not the one here. This weekend was my first attempt at doing a winter scene - a snow covered airplane. This scene was to take what I learned with that and make a useable environment out of it. A-Frame was from blender kit since I’m not finished building mine. Mine will be smaller, so my camera angle will change a bit. I did not have any winter spruce, so I took some summer spruce models and added snow with the real snow addon. Used a geometry node system to quickly make the lake and bank, geo-scatter to lay out the trees and rocks, cloudscapes for the clouds and fog, and pixabay for the background mountain after trying real geometry. So far, I have not found a way to use actual 3d for my far distance and make it look as good as a photo, so I just will stick with photo backdrops for now till I get better at that.

Still need to add in some frost and such.

Further along the morphing journey with my A-Frame cabin:

Was requested to make it with the snow blown off the front, so it is not entirely natural. Since the picture is supposed to show the color of the wood and the roof, some compromises have to be made.
