Calculating Dirt map with the help of a placeholder object?

Hi,
Is it possible to calculate a black/white AO map with the help of a placeholder object to use this map for material blending.
This is a cool map in vray…
Thanks for help!

What do you mean? Can you please provide screenshots and additional details? This is difficult to answer out of context.

It can be extracted in three ways and can be used as a node combination.

Sorry, it’s called distance texture map…not dirt map. Somehow I think an equal calculation.

So you use a proxy object to calculate outer/inner distance of the objects cutting with a radius…

Thanks Kim for your help !

I believe you will find that if you look at Blender Dynamic Paint /Brush and also Wet maps…

and a detailed use of wet-map for specific purpose.
