Camera club logo in the style of BBC2-between-programs animation

Just saw my wife’s camera club syllabus pamphlet:
Bingley_Camera_Club_Website_V5
and thought it could be jazzed up using Blender:

I’ve uploaded the blend file so anyone can play with it: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gyEHCSR_g1mhrbUTBA5tMTJw2y8-I7oM/view?usp=drive_link

My process was to copy a simple circular mesh to different positions along the Y axis then scale or move the inside vertices and delete part of the arc so they matched the reference image. I added an armature down the middle so I could bend and twist it. Some of the arcs have animated material properties (metallic and roughness), thickness and bevel modifiers. There is a quad that has a hold-out material behind the text so I then had to re-composite two layers, so I added some subtle sun-beams as well!

PS One thing I didn’t put any effort into, but might have a look at now, is the layer blending in the original logo above. The grey arcs have a non-standard (Mix) blend with the coloured arcs. I’m sure the Blender compositor could do that, but I might have to put all the grey arcs into another collection…
