Camera issue

Hi guys,

I’m pretty new to blender.
I was working on a scene. In the beginning, to focus on the mesh, i deleted all the lights and camera that we originally get in the blender opening screen.

Even though i didn’t have a camera, on pressing ‘0’ the view shifted to camera view and i had no idea what part of the mesh it was showing.

So I colored the mesh an applied different materials on different parts of it and tried again.
And thanks to the colors, I’m pretty sure its showing me the mesh from inside.

Now i Made a new camera, tried adjusting it in many ways but every time i go to camera view it always shows me the inside of my mesh.

Any helps i highly appreciated.
Thanks.!

I have had Blender do weird things like this before, and I must admit I have no idea why it happens or how to fix it.
What I have done in the past to get around the problem is to restart Blender. I delete the cube and lamp, then I click on File run down the list and click on Append. I navigate to the blend file that has the the objects I want to work on, click on the blend file and then click on Objects. I select the objects I want and then click Append From Library. This brings the meshes into the new blend file and I usually find that the camera now works okay. I save this file as my new one for the objects I’m working on and delete the old one that was causing the problem.

Edit: Don’t append the camera from the file causing the problem, just use the camera that’s in the new file.

Hi, you can use Shift+F and move camera backwards with S.
Or hit Z > select the camera and move it G+Z upwards.

Cheers, mib

It would appear that by deleting the default camera, you’ve set up your remaining object to behave as a camera object.

After you add a new camera to your scene, select it and press Ctrl+Numpad 0 (From the menu: View > Cameras > Set Active Object as Camera). That should fix your wagon.
