Can I attach an object to an animated alembic file?

I’m fairly new to actually animating in Blender. Not sure if there’s any way I can do this or at least fake this look but I simulated some pants walking in Marvelous Designer but need to attach these drawstrings onto the waist of the pants. The simulation looked terrible in MD no matter what I tried so I want to use Blender’s cloth and collision physics to make it work, and I’m rendering it in Blender too so why not?

I wanted to know if there was any way I can attach these two ropes onto these holes or find a way to track them to the waist of the pants while they move? The pants model themselves is an alembic file so there isn’t any skeletal or rigging points that I can really attach it to.
