Can I manipulate fresnel more?

Changing fresnel IOR is pretty much useless for me. I would like to do some crazy stuff and change the “gradient” of fresnel dramatically. Is there a way to do that? I tried math node but I couldn’t achieve anything like examples below (I did it in photoshop).

The Fresnel is supposed to be used for correct interpolation between reflection and absortion/refraction based on the IOR of the material you want to replicate.

For your purpose, you may use the ‘Layer Weight’ in conjuction with a ‘Color Ramp’.

Yeah, the typical way is layer weight to colorramp, like this, you can also cheat and use facing which is faster. Changing the blend value, and the color stops you can get what you want.

For something more intuitive imho you can replace the color ramp with a rgb curves node.
